    • Are you a new user? You must set up a new password before logging in.

      1. Click the Login button in the top-right corner.
        If you are already signed into another TRU service on the browser (such as email, myTRU, or TRUEmployee), you will be logged in automatically and won’t see this screen
      2. If not, sign in with your TRU credentials:
        • Students: TRU ID number followed by @mytru.ca
          Example: T00123456@mytru.ca
        • Employees: Username followed by @tru.ca
          Example: jsmith@tru.ca
      3. Enter your TRU password.

      NOTE: If this is your first time logging into TRU Microsoft resources, you will be required to complete the Microsoft multi-factor authentication (MFA) step.

      Students: You can find detailed login information and answers to frequently asked questions, like “I’m Having Technical Problems. Who Can Help?” and “How Long Will I Have Access to Moodle Courses?” in the Moodle Support section for students on the TRU IT Services Portal.

      Faculty/Staff: You can find detailed login information and answers to frequently asked questions, like “When Will My Moodle Courses Show Under My Course List?” and “I'm Having Technical Problems. Who Can Help?” in the Moodle Support section for faculty/staff members on the TRU IT Services Portal.

Moodle downtime Tuesday July 21, and upgrade August 25th

We need to perform a small security update to Moodle, it will require some downtime early morning Tuesday July 21. We hope it will be complete before 8:00 AM PST.

We'll take this opportunity to let you know a more comprehensive Moodle upgrade to version 5.2 will be occurring on Tuesday, August 25th.  In the coming weeks we will be following up with reminders, as well as information on the small number of feature improvements and changes to expect.

An improved registration system for Open Learning courses launches May 12

TRU is launching an improved online registration system for Open Learning courses on Tuesday, May 12. Registration will temporarily be unavailable from 8 to 11 a.m. while we transition to the new system.

The registration process will remain familiar, including add-to-cart and checkout, with a few updates to improve your experience. These include a refreshed design, debit payment option and a new online learning portal where you can view your Open Learning courses, receipts and profile details. Your current enrolment and course credits are not affected. 

Any items currently in your cart will not carry over. Please complete your Open Learning course registration today or reselect courses after the launch. 

When accessing the new system for the first time, you will log in with your TRU ID and complete a one-time online learning profile.

Reminder: Moodle Outage Tuesday May 5

TRU's Moodle instance is scheduled to move on Tuesday, May 5th and will be pulled offline and will be unavailable for all users beginning at 5:00 AM PDT. 

We hope the system will only be down a number of hours, but this is a very significant operation and users should be prepared for Moodle to be unavailable for the day.

While we scheduled this process to minimize disruption within the academic calendar, we know this will interrupt some users. We regret the inconvenience but this is a mandatory process.
