This is a reminder than we will be upgrading our instance of Moodle the morning of Tuesday August 25th. We expect the required downtime to begin at 5:00 AM PST, and hope to be back up by 8:00 AM. However, this is a significant process, so it is possible the outage may go a little later.
The new version will have streamlined theming, and a few navigation tweaks, but most features and functions will not be changed. This five minute video reviews the differences in student and instructor experiences: https://barabus.tru.ca/moodle/5_2_upgrade.html
We also want instructors to know that next week we will be running a process to update older H5P activities to ensure they continue to work after the update. This process will not require downtime and should not disrupt user experience. If you happen to see any issues with your H5P activities, or have any other questions, please let us know at moodlesupport@tru.ca.
