Course Description: This graduate seminar supports the development of thesis or capstone project proposals in advanced areas of nursing practice, including leadership, education, clinical practice, and systems-level change. Building on foundational knowledge from HLTH 6000 Advanced Research Methods, students refine research questions/capstone topic areas, explore methodologies to address their questions and draft proposal components. Emphasis is placed on the integration of evidence-informed practice, ethical considerations, and the anticipated impact of research on nursing knowledge and professional practice. Students will collaborate with faculty and peers in a scholarly environment where students critically explore and refine their research ideas, develop scholarly writing skills, and engage in proposal development.
