This directed study will center on cross-cultural forms of gothic literature. Student will do an environmental survey of international and regional gothic forms and then, with instructor assistance, prepare thesis to direct their efforts, a list of titles for reading, critique, and demonstration. While the exact form of the “final project” is TBD, it will likely involve creative (multimedia) and critical critique of the ways that the form can appear.
