This course is designed to prepare you for the demands of academic reading, thinking, and writing required at the university level. The many skills required for these activities will be learned and practiced through work on a semester-long research project. Special focus will be placed on doing research, reading critically, paraphrasing, summarizing, quoting, and citing, et cetera. Feedback and support will be provided along the way with the goal of developing student confidence and engagement.
